About me

I was raised in the San Francisco bay area and my wife and I have lived in our Fremont home since 1988. I began a career as a printed circuit board designer in 1976 and retired in 2011.

I have worked with wood since I was a child with my father, uncle and grandfather. We depended on fire wood for cooking and heating in the 1930's era, two room cabin in the remote northern California foothills. I continued my passion for woodworking as a hobby, making toys and simple furniture for our family. Some fun projects done for the Waldorf School of the Peninsula were designing and fabricating 75 student desks and making a 20 foot tall maypole from a cedar tree. I am proud of my accomplishments as a woodturner and endeavor to improve my skill in this art form.
